オランダに拠点を置くWhrikkは、ダーク・サイ/フォレスト・トランスや、革新的なエレクトロニクスで組織されるスピーディかつマッドなテクノで、世界中のレイヴ・フリークと電子音楽愛好家からカルト的な人気を集めている。昨年の5月、ヘッドライナーを務めた、ちどり公園での電気菩薩 OPEN AIRから1年ぶりの来日で、今回は真骨頂のライブセットでの登壇が決まっている。
自主レーベルWHRK Recordsを始め、Mala JuntaとAmniote EditionsのコラボEPや、SchackeのレーベルSacred Interface。ベルリンのDeestricted、スウェーデンSanaton Records、Ezy主宰Tricky Grainなど、20年近くに及ぶキャリアは、テクノ/トランスの重要レーベルからユニークな作品の数々をリリースしてきた。近年は、アムステルダムの人気イベントKØLTや、2月にWOMBでも開催された、ベルリンのテクノパーティMala Juntaの“Haunted”エディションにも出演。ゴア初開催のBoiler Roomではクロージングを務めるなど、国際的な存在感を高めている。
今回で、第2回目となる”螺髪 -rahotsu- ”は、フィンランド発祥のサイケトランス”スオミサウンディ”やフォレスト・トランスを得意とするDJ/プロデューサーHënkįによるパーティラインの一つで、トランスとテクノを原動力にしながら、エレクトロニックミュージックの核に迫る興味深いパーティだ。
Whrikkに続くゲストとして、通算50回以上もの開催を誇る、関西の伝説のパーティActiveからhen男子とDentaLow が来京。
深い瞑想空間を創り上げる成都出身のサイトランスDJ ANTSや、ロンドンを拠点とするレーベルOrganiK Circus RecordsにDJとして所属し、その確かな腕を見せながらオーガナイザーとしても数々の名パーティを主催してきたBabooo、60年代から脈々と受け継がれる”裏サイケ”を継承してフロアに照射するリビングレジェンドseiji animaminimalといった、現実から離れて深層に潜る、超音楽主義のフロアメイクが施された。
アンダーグラウンド・トランス/テクノ・シーンの或る到達者のクロスポイントが現れては消える。

Netherlands-based Whrikk has a cult following amongst rave freaks and electronic music lovers worldwide with their dark psy/forest trance and speedy, mad techno organised with innovative electronics. This is their first visit to Japan in a year since their headlining 電気菩薩 -Denki Bosatsu- OPEN AIR at Chidori Park last May, and this time they are set to take the stage with their quintessential live set.
Starting with his own label WHRK Records, he has also released collaborative EPs with Mala Junta and Amniote Editions, Schacke's label Sacred Interface, Berlin's Deestricted, Sweden's Sanaton Records, Ezy's Tricky Grain, and many more. Tricky Grain, among others, a career spanning nearly two decades has seen the release of a number of unique productions on important techno/trance labels. In recent years, he has appeared at the popular KØLT event in Amsterdam and the ‘Haunted’ edition of the Berlin techno party Mala Junta, which was also held at WOMB in February. He has also been a closing act at the first-ever Boiler Room in Goa, and has been strengthening his international presence.
The second edition of ‘rahotsu’ will feature the Finnish psychedelic trance ‘Suomisaundi’ and forest trance. It is one of the party lines by DJ/producer Hënkįį, who specialises in forest trance, and is an interesting party that gets to the heart of electronic music, with trance and techno as its driving forces.
Following Whrikk, legendary Kansai party legends Active, who have held more than 50 parties in total, Hen Boys and DentaLow will be coming to Tokyo as guests.
The event will also feature psytrance DJ ANTS from Chengdu, who creates a deep meditative space, Babooo, who is a DJ on London-based OrganiK Circus Records and has hosted many famous parties as an organiser while showing his solid skills as a DJ, and the ‘backstage’ DJs who have been organising parties since the 1960s. Living legend seiji animaminimal, who has inherited the ‘back psychedelic’ sound that has been passed down from generation to generation since the 1960s and has irradiated the floor with it.
Crosspoints of some of the underground trance/techno scene's most accomplished performers appear and disappear.
