テーマは「進化」。Google Magentaの開発者たちが、AI音楽の未来と可能性をわかりやすく語ります。後半には、真鍋大度とRISA TANIGUCHIをゲストに迎えMagentaを使ったDJパフォーマンスを披露。人間の感性とAIの創造性が融合する、これまでにない音楽体験をお届けします。

Google Magenta
Magenta は、Google Brain チームが始めた音楽・アート生成の研究プロジェクトであり、同時にアーティスト、プログラマー、研究者のコミュニティづくりを目指しています。
機械学習を「理解」だけでなく「創造」に応用し、音楽や映像などを生み出すアルゴリズムやオープンソースの基盤を提供します。まずは音声やMIDIツールなどを整備し、誰もが簡単にAIと一緒に音楽を楽しめる環境をつくります。
アーティストがこれらのツールで何を創造するかは未知ですが、写真や楽器の歴史と同じく、新たな表現を切り開くと期待しています。コードは公開されており、将来的には外部貢献も歓迎されます。Magenta の進化はブログで共有され、コミュニティと共に発展していきます。
真鍋 大度（アーティスト、プログラマ、コンポーザ）
1976年東京生まれの真鍋大度は、音楽家の両親のもと、音楽とプログラミングに親しんで育つ。DJやジャズバンドでの活動を経て、東京理科大学で数学を学んだ際に作曲家イアニス・クセナキスの思想に触れ、音楽生成における数学的アプローチの研究を始めた。これが後の創作活動の基盤となる。
2006年にライゾマティクスを設立。数学と音楽のバックグラウンドを生かし、テクノロジー・映像・身体表現の融合を探求しながら、リオ五輪閉会式のAR演出など革新的なプロジェクトへと発展させた。坂本龍一、Björk、Nosaj Thing、Squarepusher、Arcaらとの協働も数多く行い、その独創的なAudiovisualパフォーマンスは、Sonar Barcelona、MUTEK、TodaysArt、Dekmantelをはじめとする世界各地の国際フェスティバルで発表されている。
近年は神経科学者との協働を通じて、培養神経細胞を用いたバイオフィードバックシステムなど、生命と機械を融合する作品を制作。また、Sinan Bokesoyと共にsonicPlanet LTD.を創業し、ジェネラティブ・オーディオのための実験的なソフトウェアを開発している。現在はStudio Daito Manabeを主宰し、アート・テクノロジー・サイエンスを横断する表現を追求している。
RISA TANIGUCHI
東京出身のDJ／プロデューサーであるRISA TANIGUCHIの音楽性は、幼少期から続くクラシック音楽への深い愛情と、ロンドン滞在時に没頭したUKアンダーグラウンド・シーンの影響によって培われた。彼女が2018年に発表した初のEP『Ambush』（Clash Lion）は、Beatport Leftfieldチャートで5位を記録し、Charlotte de WitteがBBC Radio 1でプレイするなど、一躍世界の注目を集めた。以降も、自身のボーカルをサンプリングした独自の音作りと表現力で、世界中のトップアーティストやリスナーから熱烈な支持を受け続けている。
そのオリジナルトラックは中毒性が高く、ディープかつ鋭利な音像で構築されるDJセットは、ダークで幻想的な空間を創出。テクノを軸にしつつもジャンルを越境するその選曲は、瞬間ごとに変化する緊張感とカタルシスをもたらし、観客の身体と意識をダンスフロアに縛り付ける。彼女が世界中を飛び回るツアーで常にオーディエンスを魅了し続けている理由は、まさにこの独自の世界観にある。
2024年には、Chris Liebing主宰の名門レーベルCLRより、日本人初となる2作連続EP（『So Loud』『Wakes From Coma』）をリリース。特に『So Loud』EPは、Beatport Techno (Raw/Deep/Hypnotic) チャートで1位を獲得。さらに、Nicole Moudaber主宰のMOODから『Look At Hatred』EPをリリースし、Nicole本人とのコラボレーション楽曲「Gorgeous」も発表。ベルリンで開催される世界最大級のストリート・テクノ・パレード「Rave The Planet」へは2年連続で出演し、2025年は公式テーマソング「Our Future Is Now」の公式リミックスも手がけた。これらの実績は、アンダーグラウンドに根差しながらも、グローバルシーンにおける確固たる存在感を示すものである。
国内ではJ-WAVE「TOKYO M.A.A.D SPIN」にてレギュラーホストを務め、日々の制作活動と並行しながら、週末には国内外を飛び回り、フロアの空気に呼応しながら進化し続けるライブ感覚のDJプレイを実践。ミックスや楽曲制作においても、綿密に構築されたサウンドデザインとアンダーグラウンドへの鋭い洞察により、今まさに"世界基準の音"を更新し続けているアーティストの一人である。

With “evolution” as the theme, developers from Google Magenta will discuss the future and possibilities of AI music in an accessible way. In the latter half, there will be a DJ performance featuring Daito Manabe and RISA TANIGUCHI, integrating Magenta. Experience a unique musical fusion of human sensibility and AI creativity.

Google Magenta
Magenta is a project by Google Brain that explores AI-driven music and art generation while also building an open community for artists, programmers, and researchers. It applies machine learning not just to understanding but to creating, providing open-source tools such as audio and MIDI support to make collaboration with AI accessible. Although the creative outcomes are unknown, the project expects new forms of artistic expression, much like the breakthroughs seen in photography and musical instruments. The code is publicly available, and external contributions will be welcomed. Progress and community creations are shared through the project’s blog.
Daito Manabe（Artist, programmer, and Composer）
Daito Manabe, born in Tokyo in 1976, grew up surrounded by music and programming under the influence of his musician parents. After working as a DJ and performing in jazz bands, he studied mathematics at Tokyo University of Science, where he encountered the ideas of composer Iannis Xenakis and began exploring mathematical approaches to generative music. This experience laid the foundation for his later creative practice.
In 2006, he co-founded Rhizomatiks. Drawing on his background in mathematics and music, he has pursued the fusion of technology, visual media, and bodily expression, leading to groundbreaking projects such as the AR presentation at the closing ceremony of the Rio 2016 Olympic Games. He has collaborated with artists including Ryuichi Sakamoto, Björk, Nosaj Thing, Squarepusher, and Arca, and his distinctive audiovisual performances have been presented at international festivals such as Sónar Barcelona, MUTEK, TodaysArt, and Dekmantel.
In recent years, Manabe has worked with neuroscientists to create projects that merge life and machine, such as biofeedback systems using cultured neural cells. He also co-founded sonicPlanet LTD. with Sinan Bokesoy, developing experimental software for generative audio. He now leads Studio Daito Manabe, where he continues to explore expressions across art, technology, and science.
RISA TANIGUCHI
Tokyo-based Risa Taniguchi is a rising force in dark, edgy techno. Her signature sound blends raw textures, acid bass, and haunting vocals—as heard on standout tracks like Slipped My Mind and So Loud EP, the latter topping Beatport's Techno chart. With releases on Second State, CLR, Kneaded Pains, and MOOD, she’s earned support from Charlotte de Witte, Amelie Lens, and Chris Liebing. A classically trained pianist, Risa brings precision and power to both studio and stage. She’s played key venues across Europe and Asia, including Watergate Berlin, Womb Tokyo, and Ultra Japan’s RESISTANCE stage. Named a Beatport Next artist and host of her own J-WAVE radio show, Risa is leading the charge in Japan’s electronic scene.
